Management and Staff at Oaklands Community College were delighted with the success of students from the Class of 2023 who experienced huge successes in securing Third Level Courses through the recent CAO offers. The results of the CAO offers have rewarded the hard work and efforts of the students for over the past two years.
Among the colleges chosen and accepted by students are the Royal College of Surgeons, Trinity College Dublin, Maynooth University, University College Dublin and Dublin City University.
Among those delighted with his/her college offer is Faye Lynch, who secured a place studying Physiotherapy at the Royal College of Surgeons.
Also pursuing a medical career is Katie Dunne who is looking forward to starting at UCD where she will study Radiography.
Sophie Moore, Aoibheann Maher, Charlie Gray and Lola Brennan are all pursuing careers in science. Sophie heads to Trinity College having accepted Physical Sciences, Aoibheann will study Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science at DCU, while both Charlie and Lola have accepted Biological Sciences at DCU and Maynooth University respectively.
Michael Pender has chosen a BA Finance Degree at Maynooth University where he will be joined by Zahra White who will commence her Bachelor of Education (Primary teaching). Also taking up a Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching) at DCU is Robyn Prendergast. Megan Murrin, a fellow classmate, will commence her studies in Geography and Geoscience at Trinity College Dublin.
Principal Brian Kehoe expressed his delight with the Class of 2023, saying, “These students have shown incredible resilience and determination throughout their time at Oaklands Community College. Their outstanding Leaving Certificate results are a testament to their hard work and the dedication of our teachers. The school’s staff and the students have worked hard to ensure that each student reaches their full potential, and the CAO offers are a reflection of their collective efforts.”
